Police appeal for information after theft in Doncaster
Police investigating an alleged theft at The Cake Box, Copley Road, Doncaster, have released an E-fit of a man who may be able to assist them with enquiries.
At around 11.30am on Saturday, 3 November, it is reported that the owner of The Cake Box, a 50-year-old woman from the Doncaster area, was in the seating area at the rear of the premises using her mobile phone.
The shop was empty, and it is believed the woman left her mobile phone, a silver Apple iPhone 4, on a table for a short period of time. It is reported that a man came in to the shop to order some food, and was left unsupervised in the shop for approximately five minutes while his food was prepared.
It is alleged that the man ate his food and left, and the woman reportedly noticed that her phone was missing.
The man is described as black, approximately 5ft 9ins tall, of medium build with a chubby face, and a local accent. Police would like to speak to this man as they believe he could assist with enquiries relating to this incident.
