Chief Superintendent Lauren Poultney Temporary Chief Officer (HR)

Lauren is working across both South Yorkshire Police and Humberside Police as the temporary Head of Human Resources, a service delivered collaboratively across both forces.

She joined Humberside Police in 1998 and has held a variety of both CID and uniformed operational roles, these include Operations Superintendent for a BCU, Senior Investigating Officer (SIO) within the Major Incident Team and Head of Professional Standards.  Outside of Humberside Police Lauren completed a year with HMIC as a Specialist Staff Officer and is also an accredited peer assessor for the College of Policing.

Lauren has a BA (hons) degree in Community and Race Relations from Lancaster University and an MSc in Police Leadership and Management Studies from the University of Leicester.

Lauren is married with a six year old daughter and in her spare time enjoys running, skiing, stand-up comedy and live music.
