Temporary Superintendent Scott Green is the Acting Head of the Business Change Directorate and he has responsibility for the Force Change Programme, Performance and Governance Unit, Risk Management, Force policy and business continuity. He is a critical incident commander, advanced public order commander and a nationally trained hostage negotiator.
He joined South Yorkshire Police in 1995 following graduation from the University of Sheffield. He has served in uniform, CID and as a Chief Inspector in both uniform and as the Director of Investigations in SYP’s Professional Standards Department.
He holds a Bachelors Degree in Chemical Process Engineering and Fuel Technology from the University of Sheffield and a Masters Degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Leicester. His Masters dissertation studied the impact on police training of the Sir William Macpherson Report into the death of Stephen Lawrence.
