Police Community Support Officers (PCSOs) in South Yorkshire work within neighbourhood policing alongside their police officer colleagues.
They carry out a number of key duties which help to enhance the safety of the public and work in the communities to ensure that the Force delivers the service which the public wants.
PCSOs also work closely with partners like local authority neighbourhood wardens and members of local residents' groups and neighbourhood watches to help find long-term solutions to local problems.
We are not currently advertising for the role of PCSOs at the moment. However, you could consider supporting the police in your community by volunteering as a Special Constable.
