Tactical Support Group
The Tactical Support Group is made up of teams of uniformed officers who, on top of their regular police training, are equipped to assist with public order situations, violent individuals/groups, rapid entry into premises and specialist searches.
In the event of a chemical, biological, radioactive or nuclear situation, officers from the Tactical Support Group would work closely with the military.
The Dog Support Unit and the Mounted Section are also part of the Tactical Support Group.
