Police in Sheffield are advising residents to be vigilant following reports of bogus callers in Crookes.

At around 12.40pm on Wednesday, 15 May, police received reports from a 102-year-old woman that she had been approached by a young man wearing a navy blue top at her home in Crookes, who reportedly offered to clean her drains for £120.

It is believed that he said the council had instructed him to do so. The woman refused the work and the man left. It is not believed that anything was stolen.
