At 2am on Saturday, 22 December 2012, a 36-year-old man was walking from Hallgate to Wood Street in the town centre, when three unknown men approached him.

One of the unknown men punched the 36-year-old man in the face, which caused him to fall to the ground, breaking his leg.

It is believed that the suspect then apologised to the 36-year-old and claimed that he did it for a bet.

The suspect is described as a white male in his early 20s. He is medium build with light brown, short messy hair. He was wearing a red short-sleeved t-shirt.
