Area Description

Rother Valley South is made up of two main urban areas: Dinnington and Anston. The area also covers many surrounding villages including Laughton Common, Laughton en-le Morthern, Woodsetts, Gildingwells, Letwell, Firbeck, Harthill, Todwick, Thorpe Salvin, Woodall, Netherthorpe.

Affected location: Leicester Road forms part of the Dinnington Deprived Community area. At the last PACT/Area Assembly meeting it was agreed to place this on the Priority list to target ASB in and around the general area of Leicester Road.

South Yorkshire Police are warning the public not to take a small green pill as a 16 and 17-year old boy are seriously ill in hospital today, Saturday, 25 May.
Twenty-six year old Nicholas James Totty was last seen in the Newman Road area of Rotherham on the morning of Tuesday 21 May.He was riding a dark blue mountain bike which has a grey tool bag with a red stripe fixed to the front of the bike.
South Yorkshire Police are appealing for information on the whereabouts of 14-year-old Kofi Martin.Kofi, from Woolwich, London was staying in Sheffield when he went missing earlier this week.

On Sunday, 2 June, Police Constable Mark Hallam from the Rotherham Offender Management Unit will be travelling to Dresden, Germany to take part in the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) World Championships.

Mark started his ice hockey career when he was 12-years-old after watching local team The Sheffield Steelers at Sheffield Arena.

He later went on to play inline hockey when he was 15-years-old in sports halls around Sheffield and now plays for the Hallamshire Hornets in Rotherham.
