Area Description

Rother Valley West SNT covers around 14.5 square miles in the South West of the borough. Brinsworth, Catcliffe, Treeton, Aston, Aughton, Swallownest, Woodhouse Mill, Orgreave, Brampton en le Morthen, Ulley, Fence and Thurcroft are all covered with most of the population being concentrated in these areas.

Affected location: This area has been encountering issues with youths using skateboards and bikes on the street and causing a general annoyance to the residents. Most of these youths do not live in this street and congregate in large groups during an evening.
Affected location: Problems being encountered with nuisance youths hanging around the area. This is causing community unrest and increasing the overall perceptions of ASB within this area.
Affected location: These 2 areas are suffering from various elements of Anti-Social Behavior. The peak times are during the evenings and at weekends, the main offenders are aged between 14 and 19 years of age. These youths hang around and generally create a nuisance of themselves. Additionally recent reports of nuisance motorbikes within the area.

On Sunday, 2 June, Police Constable Mark Hallam from the Rotherham Offender Management Unit will be travelling to Dresden, Germany to take part in the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) World Championships.

Mark started his ice hockey career when he was 12-years-old after watching local team The Sheffield Steelers at Sheffield Arena.

He later went on to play inline hockey when he was 15-years-old in sports halls around Sheffield and now plays for the Hallamshire Hornets in Rotherham.
