Area Description

Rotherham South SNT covers the town centre, Eastwood, Clifton, East Dene, Wellgate and Canklow. Further south are the areas of Broom, Moorgate and Whiston. Most of the area‟s population of 38,100 live in southern and eastern parts of urban Rotherham. The far south of the area is rural, intersected by the M1 motorway.

On Sunday, 2 June, Police Constable Mark Hallam from the Rotherham Offender Management Unit will be travelling to Dresden, Germany to take part in the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) World Championships.

Mark started his ice hockey career when he was 12-years-old after watching local team The Sheffield Steelers at Sheffield Arena.

He later went on to play inline hockey when he was 15-years-old in sports halls around Sheffield and now plays for the Hallamshire Hornets in Rotherham.
