Shiregreen and Brightside SNT Site
 The Shiregreen and Wincobank area is predominantly a residential area, with one large green space at the heart of it. Shiregreen has two small busy shopping areas, which comprise of fast food restaurants, beauty salons and newsagents. Wincobank also has local amenities, which residents regularly use and is also home to a large industrial estate. The Shiregreen and Wincobank area hosts six primary schools and two secondary schools. |

One man has died and another is critically injured in hospital after their car left the road near Shafton, Barnsley, early this morning.
Police have released a CCTV image of a man who may hold vital information about a burglary at Doncaster Royal Infirmary just after 8am on Thursday, 18 April.
Thirty-one-year-old Damien Noble has today, Friday, 17 May, been found guilty of murder at Sheffield Crown Court following the death of James King in November last year.

A 41-year-old man from Sheffield was yesterday (Thursday, 16 May) sentenced to four years in prison for burglary. Richard Glover, from Shiregreen, was given four years imprisonment for burgling a house on Owlerton Green, Hillsborough, on Sunday, 7 April. At around 2.35pm, Glover sneaked into the house while one of the occupants was asleep and stole a laptop. The occupant chased him out of the house, and called the police. |
