 The Southey area is a densely populated residential area incorporating several arterial routes for the City, including the A61 Halifax Road and Herries Road. There are also several small shopping parades, including on Herries Road adjacent to the Longley Estate. Southey is largely an area of dense housing provided by Registered Social Landlords, by far the largest being Sheffield Homes. |

Police have released a CCTV image of a man who may hold vital information about a burglary at Doncaster Royal Infirmary just after 8am on Thursday, 18 April.
Thirty-one-year-old Damien Noble has today, Friday, 17 May, been found guilty of murder at Sheffield Crown Court following the death of James King in November last year.
