Police are appealing for witnesses to a fire on a balcony at a property in Sheffield.At 7.30pm on Friday 29 August police were alerted after a fire had spread from a balcony to a flat on Exeter Place in Sheffield.
From today (Monday, 1 September, 2014) residents in South Yorkshire have new powers to tackle antisocial behaviour in their communities.
Four men have been arrested following a disturbance in Hexthorpe this evening (Sunday 31 August).

Jason Booth, Inspector for the Sheffield, South East Safer Neighbourhood Team, (SNT) represented Sheffield District at the International seminar of best practices in local policing.

The Valencia Police Force hosted the seminar, which took place on Wednesday 22 May. Forces from across Europe gathered at the seminar, to share models of best practice about community/neighbourhood policing.
