Did you know that every community in Rotherham, including yours, has a team dedicated to policing the neighbourhood?

Safer Neighbourhood Teams (SNTs) were introduced to provide a dedicated policing service in the heart of localcommunities. 

Rotherham has eight Safer Neighbourhood Teams that operate at a local level to build good links with the communities they serve. They are made up of police officers and council staff whose entire remit is to focuson the needs of the local community.

The 2013/14 priorities for Rotherham are:

1. Reducing crime and Anti-social behaviour, with a particular focus on theft from motor vehicles, damage and arson

2. Protecting vulnerable people, particular those at more risk of Child Sexual exploitation, Honour based crime and Forced marriage, stalking and harassment and domestic abuse

3. improving visible policing, particularly in local communities
