Man charged with additional child sexual exploitation offences in Rotherham

Operation Clover detectives have charged Arshid Hussain, 40, of High Street, East Cowick, Goole, with two further child sexual exploitation offences.

Today, Friday, 17 July, Hussain was charged with two counts of indecent assault. The offences are alleged to have taken place between 1998 and 2000.

In June, Hussain was charged with 45 offences including indecent assault, rape and unlawful imprisonment and earlier this month was charged with conspiracy to commit rape.

He has been bailed to attend Sheffield Crown Court on Monday, 7 September, alongside six other defendants charged as part of Operation Clover.

Operation Clover is a joint investigation by South Yorkshire Police in partnership with Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council and the Crown Prosecution Service. It is one of a number of non-recent child sexual exploitation investigations in Rotherham and South Yorkshire Police continues to work in partnership with Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council and the Crown Prosecution Service.
