Police in Doncaster give thanks to the public for helping to reduce crime
Over the last three months, insecure burglaries in Doncaster have decreased by 32%, and police are giving praise to the public for assisting them in the successful reduction.
Insecure burglaries occur when a property is left unlocked, or windows and doors are left open, which is seen as an open invitation for opportunistic thieves.
Superintendent Eddie Murphy said: “Since November, we have been delivering the message to the public to always ensure their property is secure, to prevent them from becoming a victim of crime.
“I would like to thank our residents in Doncaster for taking note of our advice and their assistance in helping us tackle crime.”
