Motorcyclist in hospital after Carlton collision
Police are appealing for witnesses to a traffic collision in the Carlton area of Barnsley that left a motorcyclist in hospital with a serious foot injury.
A black KTM 640 motorbike was travelling along Industry Road from Fish Dam Lane towards Carlton and started overtaking a Large Goods Vehicle (LGV) parked on the nearside prior to the junction with Shawfield Road.
At this point, the motorbike collides with the nearside wing and front of a white Ford Transit van turning right out of Shawfield Road into Industry Road, travelling towards Fish Dam Lane.
The collision on the Carlton Industrial Estate happened just after 4.10pm yesterday afternoon, Friday, 5 March 2010.
The motorbike rider, a 30-year-old Barnsley man, was taken to Barnsley District General Hospital and detained overnight with a serious foot injury.
