The Safer Rotherham Partnership launches new public information pillars
The Safer Rotherham Partnership (SRP) installed a new public information pillar in the town centre today, which over the next twelve months will display posters highlighting the work and promoting the services of the SRP.
The SRP is a collective of public sector organisations, including South Yorkshire Police, Rotherham Borough Council, South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue, Probation Services and the NHS. Working with volunteer groups and other agencies, their goal is to make Rotherham a safer place to live, work and learn.
Today, a new way for the SRP to communicate with local residents and business owners has been erected in the town centre, near to Rotherham’s Interchange.
The SRP’s town centre public information pillar displays three posters providing details on how to contact your local Safer Neighbourhood Team, how to find out what the SRP are doing to improve community safety, and how to get involved with the local community meetings that take place each month across the borough.
Over the next couple of weeks, three additional pillars will be installed in other key areas in Rotherham. There will be one on Laughton Road in Dinnington, one near to the High Street in Maltby and another on Sandy Gate in Wath.
All of these pillars will be regularly updated to address current community issues or campaigns and highlight local achievements. All four pillars will be unique and display relevant and useful information for the areas they are located.
