Woman's body found in pond in Barnsley area
The body of a woman has been recovered from a pond in the Barnsley area this morning.
The woman, in her early 70s, was spotted by a fisherman in the Dearne Valley Park, Pontefract Road at Hoyle Mill, shortly before 9am ( Monday, 30 August). She has yet to be officially identified.
Police are not treating her death as suspicious at this stage.
