Police are appealing for witnesses to a head-on collision between two cars in the Doncaster area in which a 40-yr-old local man suffered serious injuries.

He was taken to the Doncaster Royal Infirmary with injuries to his head, pelvis and legs and was detained. He was driving a black Nissan Sunny, travelling towards Doncaster on Broomhouse Lane at Edlington.

Also involved was a white Peugeot 306 travelling into Edlington. The 18-yr-old driver from Wadworth suffered a minor head injury and cuts to the knee. He was taken to the same hospital but was not detained.
