Police seek witnesses to serious collision
Police are appealing for witnesses to a collision in the Shiregreen area of Sheffield this morning in which a school girl was seriously hurt.
The incident happened at 8.40am today, 9 March, on Bellhouse Road, around 30 metres south of its junction with Beck Road.
A silver Vauxhall Astra was heading along Bellhouse Road towards Ecclesfield Road when it appears the seven-year-old girl ran into the carriageway from the driver’s offside and collided with the vehicle.
Motorcyclist suffers serious leg injuries in Mapplewell collision
Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious traffic collision in the Mapplewell area of Barnsley.
At around 8.15pm yesterday evening, Monday, 8 March 2010, a black BSA Bantam motorcycle travelling towards Royston on Wakefield Road collided with a blue Vauxhall Astra that appears to have turned right into its path from the junction with Newstead Road.
The rider of the motorcycle, a 43-year-old Barnsley man, was taken to Barnsley District General Hospital with serious leg injuries and detained overnight.
Three injured in Sheffield Lane Top collision
Police are appealing for witnesses after three people were injured in a traffic collision on Barnsley Road, Sheffield, around 7.55pm yesterday evening, Saturday, 6 March 2010.
A silver Peugeot 807 people carrier was following an unknown vehicle on Barnsley Road, travelling towards Ecclesfield, and both moved into the right hand lane at the traffic lights at Sheffield Lane Top to turn right into Hatfield House Lane.
Witness appeal after fatal collision in Sheffield
Police are appealing for witnesses after a fatal traffic collision in Sheffield yesterday evening.
A silver Honda Civic was travelling towards Grenoside on the A61 Halifax Road when it collided with a silver Nissan Micra entering Halifax Road from Lyminster Road around 7.40pm yesterday, Saturday, 6 March 2010.
It is believed the Honda Civic was in close proximity to an orange sports vehicle travelling in the same direction, away from Hillsborough, which left the scene before police attended.
Police appeal after life-threatening collision on A1M
An 87-year-old Doncaster man is in a ‘life-threatening’ condition in hospital after a traffic collision on the northbound A1M motorway approaching Skellow service station.
The collision happened around 12.45pm last Thursday, 4 March 2010.
For unknown reasons, traffic has slowed causing congestion on the dual carriageway and a burgundy Hyundai Accent car has collided with the rear of a blue Renault Laguna around 50 metres from the junction with Leys Lane.
Motorcyclist in hospital after Carlton collision
Police are appealing for witnesses to a traffic collision in the Carlton area of Barnsley that left a motorcyclist in hospital with a serious foot injury.
A black KTM 640 motorbike was travelling along Industry Road from Fish Dam Lane towards Carlton and started overtaking a Large Goods Vehicle (LGV) parked on the nearside prior to the junction with Shawfield Road.
At this point, the motorbike collides with the nearside wing and front of a white Ford Transit van turning right out of Shawfield Road into Industry Road, travelling towards Fish Dam Lane.
Appeal for witnesses to serious crash on Westwood New Road
Police are appealing for witnesses to a serious crash on Westwood New Road last night.
At approximately 9.40pm yesterday (Monday, 22 February) a black Vauxhall Astra was travelling towards Sheffield along Westwood New Road, Tankersley, when it is reported to have lost control and crashed into a lamppost on its nearside.
Appeal for information after serious injury in Edlington
Police are appealing for witnesses to a head-on collision between two cars in the Doncaster area in which a 40-yr-old local man suffered serious injuries.
He was taken to the Doncaster Royal Infirmary with injuries to his head, pelvis and legs and was detained. He was driving a black Nissan Sunny, travelling towards Doncaster on Broomhouse Lane at Edlington.
Witness appeal after death crash in Wath
Police are appealing for witnesses to a road traffic collision in Wath-upon-Dearne which claimed the life of an 83-yr-old pedestrian.
The local woman was taken to Rotherham General Hospital with serious head injuries. She died about two hours after the incident at 1145 am on Saturday 20 February, on the A633, Wath Wood Road.
Police appeal after Sheffield man hurt
Police are appealing for witnesses to a collision in Burngreave which left a 62-yr-old male pedestrian with serious injuries.
The man from Crosspool in Sheffield was taken to the Northern General Hospital with a cut to the head and an injury to his right leg.
