Witness appeal after death crash in Wath

Police are appealing for witnesses to a road traffic collision in Wath-upon-Dearne which claimed the life of an 83-yr-old pedestrian.

The local woman was taken to Rotherham General Hospital with serious head injuries. She died about two hours after the incident at 1145 am on Saturday 20 February, on the A633, Wath Wood Road.

She was reported to have been crossing the road and collided with a green Citroen Xsara Picasso travelling towards Wath.
