Child access

Child access matters between separated couples and their friends and family members are civil cases.  You should seek advice from a Solicitor.

We have no powers to go and remove children unless there is a concern for the child’s safety.  We will do a welfare check on your child to confirm that the child is fit and well if there are possible concerns over their wellbeing.

We cannot remove a child unless there is a specific power given to us within a court order or we are satisfied that a child, is or will be subject to significant harm.

If there have been any threats, or use of violence then this is a police matter and should be reported to us on 101.

If a child or anyone is in immediate danger you should call 999.

You can get free independent and confidential advice on legal, money and other problems from the Citizen's Advice Bureau.
