Man found guilty of witness intimidation - 29 June 2015

A 22-year-old man has been convicted and jailed for witness intimidation, following a court hearing in Sheffield last week. The charge was brought in connection with an investigation into allegations of child sexual exploitation. Read more

David Jamfrey - jailed for child sexual offences in DoncasterMan pleads guilty to multiple child sexual offences - 25 June 2015

A 60-year-old man has pleaded guilty to 17 child sexual offences against seven boys from Doncaster. 

David Jamfrey, of Scawthorpe, Doncaster, appeared before Sheffield Crown Court today (Thursday 25 June) charged with multiple child sexual offences. Read more

Man charged with Child Sexual Exploitation Offences - 23 June 2015

Operation Clover detectives have charged a 38-year-old man with a number of offences relating to child sexual exploitation in Rotherham.

Sajid Bostan has today (Tuesday 23 June) been charged with eleven charges, including rape, indecent assault, buggery and attempted rape. Read more

Man charged with 45 Child Sexual Exploitation offences - 11 June 2015

Operation Clover detectives have charged a man with 45 offences relating to child sexual exploitation in Rotherham.

Arshid Hussain, 40, has this afternoon (Thursday 11 June) been charged with a string of offences including indecent assault, unlawful sexual intercourse and unlawful imprisonment. Read more

Man charged as part of investigation into Child Sexual Exploitation - 9 June 2015

Bus drivers across Sheffield trained to spot the signs of exploitation - 28 May 2015

 Bus drivers from First in Sheffield are getting on board with spotting the signs of child sexual exploitation as part of an initiative to help them play a role in reporting concerns.

 The partnership between South Yorkshire Police and First Bus will help advise drivers on what to look out for and how to report any suspicious behaviour to police. Read more

 

 

Twelfth man arrested in connection with child sexual exploitation investigation - 27 May 2015

A man has been arrested in connection with an ongoing investigation into child sexual exploitation in Rotherham.

The man, 32, was arrested today (Wednesday 27 May) in the Rotherham area on suspicion of child sexual exploitation offences involving two girls under 16 between 1999 and 2003.

He is currently in police custody being questioned by detectives. Read more
 

Further arrest in connection with non-recent child sexual exploitation - 28 April 2015

A 32-year-old man has been arrested in connection with an investigation into allegations of non-recent child sexual exploitation in Rotherham.

The arrest was made on Monday, 27 April in the Rotherham area.

The 32-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of indecent assault and rape of a female under 16.

He was questioned by detectives and has been released on bail pending further enquiries.

Philip Wright, jailed for sexual offences in BarnsleyMan jailed for sexual offences against teenage girl in Barnsley

A man has been jailed for eight years after being convicted of sexual offences against an underage girl in Barnsley.
 
Philip Wright, 37, of South Drive, Bolton-upon-Dearne was sentenced at Sheffield Crown Court on Wednesday 15 April.
 
He was convicted in March of seven counts of sexual activity with a child under 16 following a five-day trial. Read more
 

 

Man arrested in connection with child sexual exploitation - 17 April 2015

A man has been arrested as part of an investigation into non-recent allegations of child sexual exploitation.

A 37-year-old man was arrested at an address in the Burngreave area of Sheffield today (Friday 17 April) on suspicion of rape. Read more

 

 Sheffield man jailed for sexually assaulting a child - 1 April 2015

A former company chief executive has been jailed for five years for sexually assaulting a child and possessing and distributing indecent images.

Brian Hall, 62, of Moorthorpe Rise, Sheffield, was sentenced at Sheffield Crown Court today (Wednesday 1 April) after admitting sexually assaulting a child under 13, possession of indecent images and distributing indecent images. Read more
