Special Case Hearing
On 5 October 2017, a Special Case Hearing was held in public.
Allegations are that on 2 July 2017 a Special Sergeant was arrested for driving his own motor vehicle on the M621 in Leeds whilst over the prescribed limit for alcohol. The officer was charged and subsequently convicted of the offence of driving a motor vehicle on a road, after consuming so much alcohol that the proportion of it in his breath exceeded the prescribed limit.
The matter was presided over by Chief Constable Watson, who dismissed the officer without notice.
