What is Prince's Trust?
Prince’s Trust is a charitable organisation created by Charles, the Prince of Wales, in 1976. The trust’s aim is to provide mentoring and, where applicable, financial support to build the confidence and motivation of young people who might otherwise leave the educational environment or be unemployed.
One of the schemes offered by the Prince’s Trust is a team course. This 12-week personal development initiative is franchised, by the Prince’s Trust, to be delivered by external partners within the community.
What can I expect from the Princes Trust programme?
The 12-week programme is the only one in the country run by both police and fire. You will take part in team building exercises; a community based project, work experience as well as a residential week. The aim of the course is for you to increase self esteem, build confidence and develop personal skills.
Watch the video below and hear from previous participants and team leaders about what to expect on the course.
If you take part in the course, you will:
- Gain new skills and qualifications
- Mix with new people and make new friends
- Have a better chance of moving into a job, education or training
- Get help with job-hunting and writing for your CV
- It's free and we'll work with you to ensure you don't lose your benefits
- Have a big boost to your confidence and a real sense of achievement.
So what are you waiting for?
Who can take part?
You need to be out of education, employment and training and aged between 16-25 year old.
