Man dies after Rotherham collision

An 87-year-old man who suffered fatal injuries in a collision in Rotherham on Friday has been named this afternoon (Sunday 5 November) as Rotherham man Richard Gray. 
 
Mr Gray's family are receiving support from specialist officers and have asked that their privacy be respected at this difficult time.

An 87-year-old man injured following a collision in Rotherham on Friday 3 November has died in hospital. 
 
At around 6.40pm, it is reported that the 87-year-old pedestrian was crossing Wharncliffe Street, Rotherham, close to the junction with Percy Street, when he was involved in a collision with a blue Audi A1. 
 
The 87-year-old man was taken to hospital with multiple injuries, where he sadly died yesterday (Saturday 4 November). His family has been informed and are receiving support from specialist officers. 
 
Enquiries are ongoing into the circumstances surrounding the collision and witnesses are asked to call 101 quoting incident number 955 of 3 November 2017.

Police are appealing for witnesses after an 87-year-old man was left seriously injured following a collision in Rotherham yesterday (Friday 3 November).

At around 6.40pm, it is reported that the 87-year-old pedestrian was crossing Wharncliffe Street, Rotherham, close to the junction with Percy Street, when he was involved in a collision with a blue Audi A1.

The 87-year-old man was taken to hospital with multiple injuries, where he remains in a serious but stable condition.

The driver of the Audi, a 22-year-old woman, was not injured.

Witnesses to the collision are asked to call 101 quoting incident number 955 of 3 November 2017.
