A 22-year-old man, who was involved in a serious collision in Catcliffe earlier this month, has died as a result of his injuries.
At around 4.20pm on Sunday 1 October, an orange trials motorcycle was travelling along Sheffield Lane when it turned on to Poplar Way and was involved in a collision with a silver Kia Picanto, travelling towards Highfield Spring.
The 22-year-old man riding the motorcycle suffered life-threatening head injuries and was taken to hospital, where he sadly died on Thursday 12 October.
The man’s family have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.
The 35-year-old driver of the Picanto and a 12-year-old girl who was a passenger in the car suffered minor injuries.
Officers remain keen to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time of the collision and who saw what happened.
