Three in court charged in connection to Sheffield robbery

A man and two women are due in court today charged in connection to the robbery of a post-office in Sheffield.

At around 2.45pm on Saturday 9 June, officers received reports that a woman had walked in to the Post Office on Spa View Road and allegedly threatened a staff member and a customer with a knife. No one was injured and a quantity of cash and cigarettes were taken. The stolen property has since been recovered.

Three people have now been charged in connection to the incident and are due to appear in court today (Monday 11 June).

Maria Scott, 50, of no-fixed-address, has been charged with robbery and possession of a bladed article.

Darryl Tomlinson, 30, of Weakland Crescent, Sheffield, has been charged with handling stolen goods and Beverley Tomlinson, 50, also of Weakland Crescent, Sheffield, has been charged with assisting an offender.

All have been remanded into custody to appear before Sheffield Magistrates’ Court.
