Sheffield burglar jailed for nine years
Date published: 15 August 2019 14:41A Sheffield woman has been sentenced to nine years behind bars after she pleaded guilty to aggravated burglary.
28-year-old Kiera of Hinde House Lane, Sheffield was handed the nine-year sentence with no credit for remand and an indefinite restraining order at Sheffield Crown Court on Wednesday 14 August 2019.
At around 2.55am on the morning of Saturday 23 March 2019, it is reported that three people broke into the home of a 43-year-old woman, assaulting her.
The victim was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
DC Neil Hayes, who led the investigation said: “These crimes are extremely distressing for victims who have their homes and privacy violated. I welcome the custodial sentence given to today, and I hope that her victim feel reassured by our action.”
