Officers investigating a high-value machinery theft in Sheffield in August 2019 have released stills of a vehicle and suspect they are keen to trace.

Just before 7am, it is reported that a blue Ford Transit van pulled up to the padlocked gates of the Al Emaan Mosque on Botham Street, Sheffield.

Two men wearing high-vis jackets got out the van and are believed to have cut through the padlock with bolt croppers to gain entry to the building’s yard.

Once in the yard, it is reported that the suspects cut the strapping from a high-value breaker and loaded it into the Transit van, before driving away. The theft resulted in a significant financial loss for the victim.

The side of the van had ‘Central Scaffolding Ltd’ emblazoned on it.

Did you see this van in the area that morning? Have you seen the van since and do you hold any information about who may have been driving it?
