Detectives investigating an incident in which a 21-year-old woman was grabbed by a stranger as she walked her dog are asking for your help to identify the man in this e-fit image.

The woman was walking her dog along a ginnel on St Peter’s Road, Balby, at the side of Hexthorpe fields, at around 10.30pm on Sunday 29 July, when she was reportedly grabbed from behind by a man unknown to her.

The man is then said to have dragged her towards some nearby bushes before the woman’s dog bit him and chased him away.

Detective Constable Jill Rankin, investigating, said: “Thankfully, the woman was not seriously injured, however this incident was understandably incredibly traumatic for her.

“We’ve since worked with her to produce this e-fit image of a man we need your help to identify. Do you recognise him or know who he could be? He is reported to have spoken with an Eastern European accent and has a tattoo on the side of his neck.

“We’d also like to hear from anyone who saw or heard anything suspicious on that Sunday evening. If you can help, please call 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111. Please quote incident number 899 of 29 July 2018.”
