Shots fired at house in Doncaster – did you see anything?

Detectives are appealing for witnesses following a firearms discharge at a house in Stainforth, Doncaster, on Friday night (29 June).

An investigation was launched after police received reports that shots had been fired at a property in Princess Avenue at around 10.05pm. Damage was caused to the downstairs windows of the house.

Investigating the incident, DC Joanna Vine, said: “Thankfully, no one was injured in the incident, which we are treating as targeted.

“Since it was reported to us we’ve been carrying out extensive enquiries to identify those responsible but we’re still keen to hear from anyone who has not yet come forward with information.

“A silver car was seen driving away from the area shortly after the incident occurred and I’d like to speak to anyone who thinks they may have seen the vehicle in the area.”

A 28-year-old Doncaster man was arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear or violence and subsequently bailed.
