E-fit released in Doncaster knifepoint robbery

Officers in Doncaster have released an e-fit image of a man they are trying to identify in connection to a reported incident in the Bentley area of Doncaster.

At around 2pm on Friday 1 June, it was reported a 15-year-old girl had been approached whilst walking along the Trans Pennine Trail, at the junction with Pipering Lane, Bentley.

The man, who was unknown to her and armed with a knife, stole her mobile phone before making off.

The 15-year-old was not hurt in the incident.

The man pictured in the e-fit is described as in his late 30’s to early 40’s, around 5ft 8incs tall, with black spiky hair, dark brown eyes and scars on his cheeks. He was wearing dark coloured clothing and had the lower part of his face covered.

Police are asking for your help to identify the man pictured as they believe he may have information about the incident.

A 51-year-old man arrested on suspicion of robbery in connection with the incident, has been released under investigation as enquiries continue.
