Officers investigating an incident in which a young girl tried to snatch the handbag of a woman in the Balby area are asking for your help.

At around 12.45pm on Saturday 14 April, a woman was walking along Cedar Road when a girl, described as aged 13-14, tried to take her handbag. She left empty handed and the woman was not injured.

Police believe this incident may also be linked to one later that day, between 3-3.30pm when a woman was walking along Douglas Road, having just left the butchers. The woman is said to have been approached by two girls, described as aged 14-15, who then stole her bag before running from the area. The woman was not injured.

Officers have now released an e-fit image, in connection to the first incident, and are asking for your help to identify the girl.

If you recognise the girl in the e-fit image, or have any information about the incidents, please call 101 quoting reference number 14/58028/18.
