CCTV released in connection to North Anston attempt robbery

Detectives investigating an incident in which two men approached a house in the North Anston area and made demands for the occupant to hand over their Staffordshire Bull Terrier have released CCTV images.

The men pictured in the images may be able to assist with enquiries.

At around 9am on Saturday 3 March, two men approached the residents of a house in Caperns Road and made demands for the occupant of the house, a man in his 50s, to hand over his dog.

When he didn’t, the men are said to have assaulted him, pushing their way into the house before leaving empty handed.

The suspects are thought to have been travelling in a white Ford Transit van, registration EF61 ULX.

Since the incident was reported, detectives have exhausted a number of lines of enquiry, including ANPR work, house-to-house enquiries, and following up any forensic opportunities.
