Witness appeal following assault in Thorne
Date published: 21 August 2019 09:56Officers in Doncaster are appealing for witnesses after a woman was reportedly assaulted in the Thorne area of Doncaster.
At around 8.45pm on Saturday (17 August), the woman was walking with her dogs on Brookfield Close when it’s believed she was attacked from behind by a man. It’s alleged that she was pushed to the ground and hit over the back of the head.
The man subsequently tried to steal her 14-week-old Cockapoo and her other dog, a Lhasa Apso.
He is described as being 5ft 4in – 5ft 5in and of medium build. He was wearing a grey hooded top with the hood up.
Nothing was stolen in the incident but the woman suffered cuts and bruises.
