Tracing those who stopped to help or witnessed a three-year boy hit by a car

Officers investigating a road traffic collision that has left a three-year-old boy with two broken legs are appealing for witnesses to come forward to help with their enquiries. 

It is reported that at 6:27pm this evening, Tuesday 16 July, a three-year-old boy was involved in a road traffic collision on Stradbrooke Drive in Sheffield. 

It is believed that the little boy was walking down the road with his mother when he has stepped out into the on-coming traffic and was hit by what is believed to be a light blue car. 

The driver of the car stopped and spoke with the boys mum, expressing concern. It is not believed that the driver was driving inappropriately or dangerously.

The boys injuries are not life-threatening. 

Officers would like to trace the driver of the car and any witnesses that may help with their enquiries.
