We are appealing for information after a  reported burglary in the East Dene area of Rotherham earlier this month.

Between 12pm and 1pm on 7 November, it’s believed that an unknown offender gained access to a property on Badsley Moor Lane, having entered through a conservatory window.

The offender is said to have been interrupted by the occupant returning home, but got away with a bag of stolen property, which included, amongst other items, a distinctive hand-made white gold ring.

The ring was forged by combining the victim’s parents’ wedding rings; its yellow stone also contains the ashes of her deceased son.

The ring has tremendous sentimental value and we are appealing for your help to find it.

If you recognise the ring or have been offered it for sale, please get in touch. We are also keen to hear from anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area that day.

Any information can be reported via 101 quoting investigation number 14/168948/19. Alternatively you can speak to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
