Detectives investigating a sequence of linked incidents in Sheffield on the evening of Monday 4 June and early hours of Tuesday 5 June, have made three further arrests.
A 41-year-old Sheffield man has been arrested on suspicion of section 18 wounding, while two Sheffield men, aged 23 and 28, have both been arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm and criminal damage. Search warrants were executed in Sheffield today, Wednesday 13 June, and all three men remain in police custody.
At around 8.30pm on Monday 4 June, police received reports a 31-year-old man had been assaulted at a bookmakers on London Road. The 31-year-old suffered a serious facial injury, was taken to hospital and has since been discharged.
Later in the evening, at 11.45pm, a further incident was reported to police on Wostenholm Road, where damage was caused to a property, consistent with a firearm being discharged. No one was injured.
An hour later in the early hours of Tuesday 5 June, reports were received of a disturbance at a takeaway on West Street where damage was caused.
During the first incident on London Road a silver Ford Focus parked and blocked the road for a short period of time, before travelling away from city.

A 36-year-old man arrested on suspicion of assault in connection with the incident on London Road, was released under investigation as enquires continue.
