Welcome message from the Neighbourhood Inspector Lisa Bird
Hello, my name is Lisa Bird and I am the Doncaster Central Neighbourhood Policing Team Inspector. For the past 18 years, I have served the residents of Doncaster, mainly as a response officer and then Sergeant, prior to joining the neighbourhood team in June 2022.
It is my honest belief that in working together, we can ensure the safety and well-being of our communities, developing on the work that is already in place.
Every month I will run Community Engagement Meetings where residents will be able to meet myself, officers and colleagues from partner agencies.
The priorities for the Doncaster Central Neighbourhood Policing Team are:
To reduce and prevent anti-social behaviour by tackling the root causes through effective problem solving in conjunction with partners
To protect the public from harm and ensure an effective response to those who are most vulnerable in our communities, working in partnership with other stakeholders
To build the trust and confidence in local policing
To inform residents and business owners in Doncaster of how they can help us protect their communities
Speeding is an issue in our area.
PCSO's along with Police Officers complete weekly vehicle speeding checks throughout our ward areas. These concentrate on areas that are raised through our community engagement meetings alongside incidents reported to us.
Tackling anti-social behaviour is important to us.
We are working with DMBC and partner agencies to to address issues of anti-social behaviour, within the city centre and further across the central award areas.
We want to address the recent power cuts in the area.
Ongoing work with National Grid following persistent and regular power cuts in the Hexthorpe area which are thought to be linked to cannabis grows.
